Your office space is most likely where you spend a large amount
of time working and should be a space where you feel comfortable
and creative. If your office space is cluttered and disorganized, you
will not be productive. Hence, the space must be clean and minimalistic.
It does not matter if you have an entire room or merely a desk that
you consider your ‘office space’, these tips still apply.

#1: De-Clutter Items You Do Not Need
Having extra clutter in your space will not allow your mind to think
straight. It will mentally frustrate you. Therefore, throw away any papers
or items you do not acquire. This is also a good time to get a whip and
wash down your space – be it the floor, window, or desk. Having a space
free of dust and dirt is excellent for productivity.

#2: Organize, Organize, Organize!
Now that your space is clean and clutter free, you can take this time
to organize your materials. If you have a desk with drawers, using drawer
organizers or small containers for items such as pens and paper clips helps
to keep small items together. Only keep a few pieces on your desk such as a
computer, lamp and a few stationary products.

If you are cleaning your entire office room, sweep or vacuum the floors.
Adding potted plants to your space livens it up and encourages fresh air.
Plants also add oxygen to the air and are beautiful.

Organization in your dedicated work space is essential for productivity!
